Oh those Italians! Aren’t they just the best? An extra-intrepid Italian TV presenter has done what so many of us have wanted to do … grab David Beckham’s package! Elena Di Cioccio, donning a pair of yellow rubber gloves (did she buy them just for the occasion?), accosted the soccer stud as he was entertaining the press outside his hotel in Milan.

By way of explanation, Elena told viewers of her show Le Iene (The Hyenas): “We have seen photos of David Beckham in his undies and very well endowed. We wanted to find out if he is that big.”

According to Bang Showbiz, poor David apparently “recoiled in shock” and “glared” at his gloved groper before being escorted away by security. But according to his spokesman, Becks took it all in stride: “It surprised him, but David saw it for what it was, harmless fun. She didn’t grab it. She just got his trouser leg.”

Hmm … so, if not “it”, then what was Elena talking about when she ran down the street shrieking, “E piccolo, Beckham!” For you poor dears who don’t speak Italian, allow Mean Betty to translate: “Beckham is small!”
